# How to Use Kanji Lens

Follow these simple steps to start learning Japanese from any content on the web.

### Install the Extension

Download Kanji Lens from the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kanji-lens/ckjjddnhcmemdhdhbephoegfdjklhhld) or Firefox Add-ons. Click "Add to Browser" and the extension will be ready to use instantly.

### Log In or Register

Click the Kanji Lens icon in your browser toolbar and sign in with your account. This syncs your learning progress across all your devices.

### Scan Images for Japanese Text

Found a manga panel or raw webtoon? **Right-click** the image to open the Kanji Lens context menu and choose what you need.

- **Scan for Kanji** – Extract text and study word by word  
- **Translate Image** – Generate a full translation overlay
